Special Guests

October 3rd special guests will visit us at LCS. Some of the Jr. High and High School students from Covenant Harvest Church School in Pittsburg, Kansas will be here for chapel that afternoon. Then they will join us for a special Torch Twelve Six youth meeting here at the church that night at 7:00 p.m.

After Torch, the Pittsburg youth will spend the night in host homes. They will return to Pittsburg on Saturday.

We are so excited to have this time with these young people. God is truly joining our hearts with people in His Kingdom from near and far. How blessed we are to have friends and family who love God and are seeking Him with us!

Traffic Alert!!!

Dear Parents,

For the after-school pick-up, if you need to come into the building, please park in one of the parking spaces to come into the building. Please do not leave your car in line and come into the building from there. This causes a traffic jam and is unsafe for our children. Once you are in the building, if you have other things to take care of before you leave with your children, please have your children stay in the auditorium until you are ready to leave. This will alleviate some confusion and congestion in the foyer after school and help us make sure all children are supervised and taken care of. Thank you for your help and support in this matter.

Congratulations are in order!

Gemma Ciesemier is officially a U.S. Citizen! We are so blessed to have Gemma and her family in our lives. This year Gemma is teaching Spanish to the 11th & 12th graders. We appreciate all the hard work she does in order to do this, and we are glad for the opportunity it provides to have her with us during the day. We thank God for her life and for her new citizenship!

LC Men’s Retreat

September 18 – 20, we will be having our annual Men’s Retreat. If your child is going, please make sure an absence request form is filled out and turned into the office.

Also, please remember that if your student has to miss class for any doctor’s, dentist, or other appointment during the school day, you must fill out an Absence Request Form in advance. These must also be filled out if you are going to take your child out of school for the day.

These forms are available from the school office.

Pizza Time

We will be having a special pizza lunch on Friday, September 19^th. If your child would like to eat pizza for lunch next week, please send $2.00 for pizza. If they would not like to eat pizza, please send a regular lunch for them to eat. Also, items from the Country Store will be available for purchase.

Friday will be a jean and t-shirt day for all students and teachers.

Annual Physical

September 17, KCOM will be doing our annual student physicals in the afternoon. Student doctors will perform the exams supervised by a licensed physician. This physical includes a basic eye exam, check of vital signs, height, and a discreet weight check.
