Thursday, December 4, 2008  Kirksville Community String Orchestra 7 p.m. @ Life Church. The Intermediate & Advanced Orchestras will be participating in this. Everyone is invited to come & enjoy this evening.

Friday, December 5, 2008  Basketball game @ Rehoboth gym JV boys only from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Friday, December 5, 2008  Torch Twelve Six youth prayer group for 6^th -12^th grades will meet from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Burbee’s home.

Friday, December 5, 2008  4^th & 5^th graders will meet at Smoyer’s home from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Christmas vacation December 22 - January 2  Students return to school Monday, January 5, 2009.

Change in Plans

Due to a bounty of events scheduled on Friday, November 14, we will not be having our regularly scheduled Torch Twelve Six, or the fourth & fifth graders meeting

 

Intermediate & Advance Orchestra Concert

The LCS Orchestra will join the Kirksville Community String Orchestra for their holiday concert on Thursday, December 4, at 7:00 p.m. Life Church will host the concert here in our sanctuary. There will be one dress rehearsal on Tuesday, December 2, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Dress for the concert is very nice holiday wear.

This is going to be a wonderful and joyous evening of music. We invite you to come and participate. A reception will immediately follow the concert. If you would like further details about the evening, please contact Sandy Floyd.

Please be sure and return your child’s report card to his/her teacher as soon as possible. Thank your for all you help.

Parent/Teacher Conference

Tomorrow -November 6

Parents if you have any questions concerning your conference time please call the office.

On Thursday, November 6, we will dismiss school early at 1:15 p.m.

Basketball Practice

Due to parent/teacher conferences on Thursday, November 6, there will be no basketball practice that day.

Picture Retake Day

November 12

If you want to have your child’s picture retaken Life Touch will be here on Wednesday, November 12 to retake any pictures needed. Please return your pictures to the office by Friday, November 7.

LCS Advanced Band

The LCS advanced band has been invited to participate in the Life Church worship service this coming Sunday, November 9. The students will have a special rehearsal Thursday, November 6, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The rehearsal will be held in the sanctuary. For Sunday morning, the students will need to arrive at church at 7:45 a.m. to tune and warm-up. Dress in very nice slacks, shirt, dress shoes. Please no tennis shoes or jeans. If you need further information, please contact Sandy Floyd.
