Greetings in the Lord!

If you are reading this blog, you are most likely in utter shock and amazement that the introduction that has resided in this space for the last few years has actually changed and that something new is occupying its space. To say that I have been really busy would be true but a poor excuse as to why I have not taken time to update the site. Truth be known, I have had misgivings about the whole concept of blogging when it comes to those who carry an element of leadership. The more one serves, the more responsible one has to be.

We live in the information age now in which communication moves at cyber speed, and words that reveal the hearts and minds of those who type them can be read and seen often before they are thought out enough for the consequences of such words to be realized. Typing before we think runs the risk of replacing speaking before we think. For me at least, the sort of private anonymity that the web provides does not remove the responsibility of the communication put forth. Whether we are speaking or typing, words are powerful and are saying much more about the people using them than we often realize. This has been a concern to me personally as I will have to give an account for my words. Frankly, I have been glad that some of the things I said in the past have not been recorded from earlier places of immaturity in my life, so I approach this website with the fear of God and responsibility before man.

I respectfully submit my gospel to many people around the nation and around the world. To make this a cyber pulpit that expresses untested concepts and un-submitted truth would be unsafe and reckless. However, this space on Typepad also can be used for good when accompanied by compassion and self-control to communicate what God is doing in the Kingdom of God in Life Church of Kirksville, the surrounding region, the nation, and the nations abroad. As God uses this little church for His Glory, we are humbled and privileged to be a part of what He is doing in the earth and will do our best to share that advancement with any who desire to read this space and be informed.
